ABOUT ME
Hello, I am Catriona,
I am an artist. And I want to support you to reconnect with your creativity.
I was born and raised near Cambridge, U.K. I now live and work in Cape Town, South Africa.
As a child, I dreamt about becoming an artist.
In the twists and turns of life, I nearly lost sight of that dream. I got a PhD and spent over a decade working as a researcher and lecturer in public health. In my spare time, I drew, painted and took photographs.
But my childhood dream never left me. And a short while ago, I made the big leap into life as a full-time artist.

Through my art, I seek to uncover nature’s timeless visual language and to explore the dynamics between human and non-human nature.

My transition from academic to artist required me to learn the principles of creativity, overcome doubts about my artistic abilities and cultivate the courage I need to make my dreams happen.
It also required me to build a business that sustains me, and gives me the financial freedom to experiment and take creative risks with my art.
